Franken leads Coleman by 50 votes

The Minnesota state Canvassing Board met again this morning and finished allocating the remaining ballots challenged by the candidates. Al Franken currently leads Norm Coleman by 50 votes. The Star Tribune's unofficial total had been 46 votes.

The more than 1,300 wrongly rejected absentee ballots could still be counted. The candidates have until Friday to determine which ballots should be counted in the final tally. The campaigns will be meeting with election officials across the state to discuss the ballots and how to go about counting them.
