Former Minn. 'Idol' Jesse Langseth arrested in Minneapolis

Former American Idol contestant Jesse Langseth was arrested Friday in south Minneapolis.

Police stopped Jessica Lee Langseth, 27, near E. 14th St. and Park Ave. because of a faulty brake light. There was a warrant out for her arrest for driving on a suspended license, according to Fox 9 News.

If only she would have actually had some success on American Idol. Now she's just an 'Idol' wannabe with too many nights spent in jail. Reality TV celebs sure fall fast when they aren't in the spotlight anymore. Keeping the red hair might have saved her cred too.

She posted the $300 bail and was released from Hennepin County Jail later Friday morning. She will make a court appearance May 27.

Langseth was on the most recent season of American Idol, but failed to make it to the Top 12. She is scheduled to headline a May 13 show at the Fine Line Cafe in Minneapolis.

This isn't Langseth's first problem with the law. She was convicted in August 2007 of drunk driving after getting busted with a blood alcohol content of at least. 0.20 percent. She served four days in jail.
