Father defends teens accused of abusing elderly residents

Earlier this week reported on charges against six teens involved in the abuse of nursing home patients in Albert Lea, Minn. Two of the teens are accused of fondling residents, spitting on them and sticking their fingers in the nose and mouths. 

On this morning's Today show, the father of one of the charged teens released a statement claiming the story has been distorted by the media. Michael Larson, the father of Ashton Larson, said the following:

Not all of the charges are as they appear. Much of this has been distorted by the news media. My daughter was doing nothing more than performing the duties of her job.
