Here's a run down on some of the top things you need to know before you go vote today. We hope you've already researched the candidates. We just want to make sure you get the polls and can cast your vote without any problems.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Be prepared for long lines.
Visit the Minnesota Secretary of State's Web site for details on voting in Minnesota.
If you aren't registered and plan to register on Election Day, visit the SOS site with details on what you need to bring with you.
Google will map out where your polling place is.
League of Women Voters is also helping voters find their polling place and figure out other logistics. Call their hotline at 651-646-1699 in the metro area or 800-555-8772. You can call from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Tuesday for polling location help, registration details and other voter right issues.
The LWV also advises voters to cover political clothing or buttons at the polls. "Voters can't wear partisan political T-shirts, buttons or campaign items that are visible at the polls. Wear the T-shirt or button proudly all day but remove or cover it when you reach your polling spot."
If you experience any problems voting, contact the SOS at 651.215.1440 or 1.877.600.8683.
We will be covering the news all day, so check back throughout the day for updates on voting around the state as well as results later in the evening.
