DNR shoots alligator near Scandia; one still on loose [UPDATE]
A small gator found in Bloomington last year was turned over to officials alive, but the DNR isn't taking any chances this time around.
:::: UPDATE :::: There's still an alligator on the loose in Scandia
Earlier this week, someone apparently let two alligators loose on Goose Lake near Scandia, Fox 9 reports.
Why they did that isn't clear at this point, but the DNR isn't messing around. On Monday, they shot and killed one of the gators, and they're hunting for the other one.
The DNR heard about the "small gators" earlier this week. Officials subsequently "notified some residents in the area and have been actively searching for the gators," Fox reports.
Poor little guys!
