Denny Hecker pleads guilty to careless driving


Former auto giant Denny Hecker pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor careless driving charge, according to the Star Tribune. His driving under the influence charge has been dropped.

On Dec. 3, Hecker crashed his SUV into a pole near his home in Plymouth. He spent several days in the hospital recovering from his injuries.

We later found out this man's bloodstream was a mobile pharmacy. A state lab reporter a plethora of prescription drugs in his system including three painkillers, a stimulant, an anti-anxiety medication and sleeping pills.

Hecker has fallen from his spot on top of the Minnesota auto dealerships in the last year, closing 25 of his dealerships and filing for bankruptcy in June. Thousands of employees have been laid off.
