The past 12 months have been a rough go for hip-hop star Darnell Lorenzo Carlton, better known by his stage name "Crunchy Black."

Last March, the 40-year-old rapper and former member of the Oscar-winning rap group Three 6 Mafia was arrested for cocaine possession and domestic assault after allegedly beating his fiancee inside a St. Cloud hotel room.

Now he's wanted man.

Stearns County authorities have issued an arrest warrant for the Memphis native, who's currently a member of Da Mafia 6ix, a reincarnation of Three 6 Mafia, after he skipped out on a November court hearing.

City Pages called the St. Cloud Police Department (SCPD) requesting a copy of the incident report involving Carlton. Inquiries were forwarded to the Stearns County Attorney's Office, which is currently handling the case since Carlton is now considered a fugitive.

A county attorney employee said a copy of the report wouldn't be available for at least 10 days.

However, a patchwork of details has emerged.

The arrest warrant stems from an incident in 2014 as Carlton was on tour.

Early last spring, an employee reportedly found Carlton's bride-to-be inside a locked hotel bathroom. The woman told the worker she locked herself in because Carlton wouldn't stop assaulting her.

Once on the scene, police also discovered cocaine.

Carlton is charged with two counts of felony domestic assault and one charge of drug possession.
