Cyclists attacked: One dragged under car, three others hit by rocks
Some local cyclists haven't had the greatest rides recently after being attacked and injured by drunk drivers and trouble-making boys.
On Monday, an avid cyclist in Wayzata was biking through a crosswalk when a woman, accused of drunk driving, backed up over him and pinned him under the car. She then proceeded to drag him under her car before he was able to safely let go. She sped off with his bike lodged under her car.
On Tuesday, two women biking on the Midtown Greenway were struck by rocks dropped from the 13th Avenue bridge. Two teenage boys are allegedly responsible for the crime.
More on the Wayzata cyclist and his survival:
The women on the Greenway were biking home from work around 5 p.m. when they were hit on the head by rocks and bits of concrete. As they sat in pain, bystanders stopped to help. Several minutes later, two boys, ages 12 and 13, were caught throwing pebbles onto another cyclist along the Greenway from another bridge. Witnesses stayed with the boys until police arrived.
