Comment of the Day: On police body cams
Cameras of this sort could help reveal the truth when officers are hit with misconduct allegations.
One thing that would certainly help clear up controversies like the one surrounding the arrest of community activist Al Flowers -- an arrest that left him bleeding from the head -- would be police body cams.
It's an idea Mayor Betsy Hodges supported during her campaign, at least until Police Chief Janeé Harteau went on the record and said she was "frustrated" by Hodges's "premature" proposal.

Seems like the expense of installing cams of that sort could be more than covered by the serious amounts of cash the Minneapolis Police Department pays out in officer-related settlements each year, doesn't it?
