Yesterday was a day of grim financial news for Michelle MacDonald, the embattled, MNGOP-endorsed candidate for the Minnesota Supreme Court:

It's hard to argue with any of that, which is all the more reason why it's difficult to understand not only why the MNGOP endorsed her for one of the state's top legal jobs in the first place, but also why the party's Judicial Election Committee continues to stand by her amid all the controversy.
