The case against the M word was brought to our attention in response to our post "Legal Marijuana Could Bring in $46 Million Annually for Minnesota, Study Says."
Here's how it went:
.@atrupar We forgive your past transgressions, but even the MN legislature stopped referring to cannabis as "marijuana" in their new law.-- MN Cannabis (@mncannabis) September 24, 2014
.@atrupar Cannabis, hemp, ganja, herb, bud, hash, & hash oil all are legit words. Pot, dope, & marijuana all have negative connotations.-- MN Cannabis (@mncannabis) September 24, 2014
So what do you think? Should we stop using marijuana? (The word, at least.)
.@Dan_H Words matter. Referring to cannabis & hemp as Mexican slang "marijuana" was one of the main factors that caused it to become illegal-- MN Cannabis (@mncannabis) September 24, 2014
