College-bound kid killed Saturday was also a mugger
Tim Jackson, the teen who died early Saturday morning, was fatally stabbed by a man he was trying to rob.
Jackson, 17, was an American Indian who had just been accepted to college, according to a family friend. On Tuesday, 17-year-old Andre Sheldon Whirlwind Horse, was charged with attempted robbery, Minnesota Public Radio reports:
Whirlwind Horse told police he and Jackson had planned to go to the Greenway to find someone to beat up and rob.
