The pile of challenged ballots continues to shrink. This time, Norm Coleman dropped more of his challenged ballots. Thank you Coleman and Franken for making the recount process more reasonable.
Coleman dropped another 225 ballots today. He now has just over 2,000 ballots contested, according to the Associated Press report.
There were more than 6,600 challenged at the end of the official recount, but that pile is down to 4,200. Those votes will be sorted next week.
While the shrinking pile is a welcome sign, we know the loser at the end of the recount will take the recount to court in hopes of winning the election. Don't get your hopes up for a great Christmas or New Years present, this could stretch well into January and the months to come.
