City Pages looking for experienced freelance writers
Are you passionate about longform journalism? City Pages is seeking experienced freelance writers to contribute to our coverage of news, science and technology, sports, arts, media, food, and politics. We offer competitive pay and a chance to write smart, savvy journalism in the Twin Cities.
Our stories range from 2,500 to 5,000 words and take the form of investigative pieces, profiles, histories, and character-driven narratives that appeal to our diverse audience. Contributors should have experience pitching strong stories with a clear understanding of subject and angle, as well as an ability to report them. Most of all, we're looking for fresh voices with interesting perspectives.
Email us with a brief cover letter, samples of your work, and one or two pitches for feature stories. We look forward to meeting you.
