:::: UPDATE :::: Vikings throw Chris Kluwe under the bus while confirming his release
It appears Chris Kluwe's memorable 8-year run with the Minnesota Vikings is at an end.
Kluwe took to Twitter this morning to bid adieu to Minnesota in what appears to be confirmation that the Vikings elected to release him in favor of recent 5th Round draft selection Jeff Locke.
Here's Kluwe's tweets:
So long, Minnesota, and thanks for all the fish!-- Chris Kluwe (@ChrisWarcraft) May 6, 2013
Thank you to all the fans, my teammates, and the Wilf family for the past 8.5 years. I wouldn't have traded it for anything.-- Chris Kluwe (@ChrisWarcraft) May 6, 2013
And thank you everyone for your support. Remember, one label does not define who you are as a person :)— Chris Kluwe (@ChrisWarcraft) May 6, 2013
Kluwe recently said he hoped to stay in Minnesota but planned to play in the NFL for at least a few more years either way.
