Casey Carlson eliminated from American Idol

Minnesota's Casey Carlson's moment in the American Idol spotlight ended so quickly we don't even know what to say. She forgot her lyrics during the Hollywood group singing, destroyed a song by The Police, and then quickly left the stage with grace last night. We had so much hope for Minnesota's next pop star and now it's over. Can Jesse Langseth shock the world and win our hearts now so we have some hope of Minnesota talent?
We didn't have much hope Tuesday after her karaoke-style performance of "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" that involved embarrassing and not cute twitches. Simon Cowell called her performance "atrocious".
Before being kicked off the show, Ryan Seacrest asked her what she thought of the judge's comments.
"I definitely agree with what they said. I think I should have picked a different song. However, I had fun up there and had the time of my life. And I'm really lucky to be here, so I feel great."
The three contestants from the first group of 12 (out of 36) were Alexis Grace, Michael Sarver, and Danny Gokey. They will be in the top 12.
Langseth will sing live next week. We've still got someone to cheer for! We've yet to find bikini model shots of her though, so how much fun can we really have the rest of the season? The DWI mugshot gets old really fast.
Now we'll just hang out at the Tea Garden hoping to catch Carlson singing along to radio tunes. That's creepy.
