Eller guilty in brawl with police
Former Vikings football player Carl Eller is guilty in a violent and profane battle with police last year, according to a ruling this morning by a Hennepin County District Judge. He was found guilty on reduced charges after he made a deal to drop the most serious charges and potentially reduced jail time.
Minneapolis police are looking for two people who allegedly beat a woman in Uptown Thursday night because she was a lesbian. The 32-year-old woman was beat until she lost consciousness, she says.

A man was shot to death while walking home in the Jordan neighborhood Sunday afternoon. His homicide was the city's first in 2009 and caused an outpouring of anger in the neighborhood. The 48-year-old was married and the father of two teenagers and was shot on the block where his nephew lived.
