Brock Lesnar will coach The Ultimate Fighter
Brock Lesnar will coach on the new season of The Ultimate Fighter.
UFC President Dana White announced moments ago that Brock Lesnar will be one of the coaches on the upcoming season of "The Ultimate Fighter" on Spike TV.
Lesnar, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion and University of Minnesota wrestling standout, is famously reclusive, which makes his decision to do a reality TV show somewhat of a surprise.
Even White is unsure what to expect from Lesnar when he's cooped up and on camera.
"It was tough getting Lesnar to commit," White said. "I'm preparing for a tough season. It's going to be an interesting six weeks of filming."
Lesnar's rival coach in season 13 will be Junior dos Santos, one of the top heavyweight contenders. Current UFC Heavyweight Champ Cain Valasquez beat Brock for the belt, but has been sidelined with a shoulder injury.
That means a fight between Lesnar and dos Santos at the end of the season will crown the No. 1 contender for the strap.
Here's the audio of the press phone call. It starts with the announcement of the coaches.
