Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin video
Brock is back, but is he 100%?
UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will face interim heavyweight champion Shane Carwin at UFC 116 this Saturday to unify to title.
The interim belt was necessitated by Lesnar's long lay-off after a near-death bout with diverticulitis. The question on everybody's mind going into the fight is whether Brock is back to full strength or still suffering ill effects from his massive weight loss.
The bout became all the more important with last weekend's defeat of Fedor Emelianenko. The Russian, who thus far has refused to fight in the UFC, was considered the uncrowned heavyweight champion until he tapped out to an arm bar by Fabricio Werdum--a lesser ranked fighter who was cut from the UFC after a brutal knockout.
That makes Lesnar vs. Carwin the fight that will crown the consensus No. 1 heavyweight in mixed martial arts. It's not hyperbole to say this is the biggest MMA fight of all time.
