Brett Favre needs "a few more weeks" of rehab before big decision
The surgeon who operated on Grandpa Brett Favre's ankle says the surgery went fine, but the quarterback needs a few more weeks of rehab before he decides whether to beat the crap out of his body one more time for the Minnesota Vikings.
Sounds like Dr. James Andrews knows his bones. He told a Charlotte, N.C., booster club yesterday that he's now operated on Favre three times -- the first being an elbow procedure 20 years ago when Favre was in college at Southern Mississippi.
Just a few weeks ago, Favre told a crowd via video that, "Physically, I don't feel great," and "I'm not getting any younger." But if the 41-year-old QB does return for his 20th season as a pro, he'll be paid $13 million.
