Brett Favre and Jenn Sterger: No cash settlement

The NFL's geek squad is still obsessing over whether Brett Favre sent unwanted cock shots to Jenn Sterger's cell phone.

And now Favre's agent and Sterger's manager are trading accusations about whether Favre wanted to buy Sterger's silence as the story broke in October.

Bus Cook, the guy who dubbed his quarterback client a drama queen" last summer, says he's been approached by Team Sterger at least six times. "Anyone can figure out why," he told AP.

But Phil Reese, Sterger's manager, tells the wire service that it was Cook who made overtures to Sterger. He says Cook asked him whether whether "there was a specific figure" that could persuade her to keep quiet.

Both parties say no money has changed hands, and none will, in the form of a settlement.

Sterger, meanwhile, met with NFL officials on Nov. 11, and handed over "substantial materials" to be investigated.
