Bob Davis out at AM 1130 four months after telling Newtown victims to "go to hell"
Davis during happier times.
Bob Davis is out at AM 1130. His departure from the station comes a couple of months after his former co-host, Tom Emmer, left the station to focus on his bid to become the next Michele Bachmann.
According to the All Access Music Group, Davis's departure from the station was "amicable." Evening hosts Jack Tomczak and Ben Kruse will cover the time slot formerly occupied by Davis & Emmer on an interim basis.
This spring, Davis took some serious heat for telling Newtown shooting victims to "go to hell" during a rant about how gun control advocates "trot out the victims" to score political points. He apologized (sort of) and some advertisers stopped supporting the show, but he managed to keep his job -- at least for four more months.
