Bachmann and Paul, the former presidential candidate, have a lot in common: both are Republican members of Congress who want small government, and both have been active in criticizing Obama's health care and economic policies. Here's what the event will entail, according to the Strib:
Organizers said Bachmann and Paul will discuss "monetary reform, limited government and free market economics" and that their appearance is designed to counter "President Obama's health care proposal, bailout mania and the rapid rise of government control and spending."
Tonight's event is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Northrup Auditorium. The event is sponsored by Young Americans for Liberty, which is the continuation of Students for Ron Paul.
