At the NRA, mass murder is good for business

The NRA used to have some sanity. Now it's just a shill for the gun industry.

The NRA used to have some sanity. Now it's just a shill for the gun industry.

Reader McLain Causey responds to Hired guns: How the NRA buys sway with Minnesota politicians:

The problem is fundamentally that the NRA is no longer a gun rights and gun safety advocacy, they are now an industry lobby. That's why they're no longer sane.

They now stand for gun and ammunition sales for their sponsors and nothing else. They don't care who buys the guns and ammo, just that they're sold.

And guess what? Mass shootings are good for business. The industry makes billions in sales and stock gains every damn time one happens.

A moderate advocacy group that looks something like what the NRA did decades ago is definitely needed. And the members of the NRA needs to convert over to this sane entity that actually looks out for our best interests.
