Astra Taylor's Examined Life screening tonight at Walker
Documentary filmmaker Astra Taylor will be at the Walker tonight screening her newest film, Examined Life, as the first part of a two-part appearance. In the second appearance tomorrow evening she'll be talking about how her homeschooled upbringing helped her adult creative and philosophical life (tickets for the film are $8, the talk is free).

It's a refreshing idea; take philosophers out of their offices, put them on the street, and give them 10 minutes apiece to talk in plain language that can be absorbed by a film audience.
7:30 P.M. $8. Walker Art Center, 1750 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis; 612.375.7600.
