Authorities have confirmed that Anarae Schunk's body was found around 4:30 p.m. yesterday in Lonsdale, about 35 miles south of where she was last seen alive on the evening of September 21.
According to numerous reports, after a body was found by Rice County workers mowing a ditch, authorities asked Schunk's family to turn over her dental records. The body's ID was confirmed today.
Schunk was a 20-year-old junior at the University of Minnesota. Her ex-boyfriend, 31-year-old Shavelle Chavez-Nelson, has been named a "person of interest" in her disappearance.
