Wolfowitz gets World Bank post
It was only last week that Treasury Secretary John Snow set rock & roll hearts aflutter at the World Bank by claiming Bono was on the short list to head up the outfit. Chief qualifications: 1) He fookin' cares, man; 2) He's cute and famous and chicks in debtor nations would dig that; 3) Banks are all about money, and Bono has a lot of money--some 155 million Euros ($200 million and change), according to the BBC show Liquid Assets. The LA Times even endorsed him for the post; Bono in turn touted every president's Good Soldier, Colin Powell.
Alas, it's neocon high priest Paul Wolfowitz after all.
