When the Vikings' Adrian Peterson is off the field, we're more used to him speeding down the highway rather than through the McDonald's drive-thru on foot.

But there he was, not long ago outside the Golden Arches in Eden Prairie, begging employee Tiffany Langeslay to let him use the bathroom after business hours.

Langeslay let him in, even though it was against the rules. Wouldn't you?

But it darned near cost her a job. And with her career in limbo she pleaded with him via Facebook to convince her supervisors not to let her go -- all she got was radio silence from Peterson.

In the end she kept her job, no thanks to Peterson, who chimed in a day late and a dollar short via Twitter:
