A fabulous St. Paul video beckons Minneapolitans to cross the river

Dear Minneapolitans: You do not need a passport nor a team of Sherpas to cross the river. You need only take a few steps, then behold the majesty.

Hello from the other side of the Mississippi River. Minnesota's Capital City invites all, especially those Minneapolitans who think the world ends at Highway 280, "to swing on by."

That's the message from Visit Saint Paul, the marketing arm of the convention and visitors bureau. Its new parody video of Adele's chart topper "Hello" is five minutes of delight, sung by local Savanna D’Amico and lip-synced Visit St. Paul staffers.

The message touts St. Paul's many natural wonders, such as beer, walleye, and professional hockey. It also beseeches Minneapolitans who may believe they need a passport and a team of Sherpas to cross the river.

"Have you been out of Uptown or left Dinkytown before?" sings D’Amico, who has the voice of at least 16 or 34 angels. "It's no secret that almost all of you can travel 7 miles."

Adele, by the way, kicks off her tour next week at Xcel Energy Center. What's the Target Center got going on?
