If you get busted doing an obviously criminal act, it might be a good idea to just give up at that point. You failed, pay the price.
But a 14-year-old who was allegedly trying to break into a St. Paul convenience store thought it would be wise to fight back against police when they arrived at the scene. The teen threw a hammer at the officers who quickly drew their guns and shot the suspect.
The teen is under arrest and has non-life-threatening injuries from the shot to his side. Maybe this likely future criminal learned his lesson on this one and will be better next time.
