Your guide to fall block parties and Oktoberfests

itemprop

The rub on block parties is that they’re a summer thing, that Twin Citians don’t like to party when it’s not 80 degrees. Granted the forecast for this weekend is pushing that very number, but even with fall upon us — the changing of the leaves, tomato plants destined to wither and die — it’s not actually the death knell of outdoor Twin Cities parties.

In the coming month, we count at least six (mostly free) events with live outdoor music, food, beverage. Ranging from block parties to Oktoberfest celebrations, there’s still plenty to do once the lake cabin has been winterized. This list is restricted to parties with live music, primarily of the non-polka variety.
