The Monkees announce two nights at the Zoo
How appropriate: The Monkees will be appearing at the Zoo this summer. And no, we're not talking the woolly kind. The made-for-TV '60s pop group will be performing in the Minnesota Zoo's Weesner Amphitheater on Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2, as part of the Music in the Zoo series that already includes Florence & the Machine (coming June 17).
The announcement comes courtesy of @mn_live, a new show aggregator that pings its followers as soon as a new local date is added.
No ticket info just yet, though we'd recommend keeping an eye on the Sue McLean & Associates site instead, as she is the promoter for the entire Music in the Zoo series.
UPDATE: Tickets are $65 Reserved Seating / $77.50 VIP Box and go on sale Friday, March 4, at 11 a.m. More info here.
