The Goondas, Me & My Arrow, Pictures of Then, Canby set to 'Rock for Socks' this weekend

With holiday season charity drives in full swing, do-gooders are collecting everything from coats to canned goods to toys for those in need. This weekend, four local rock bands are getting in on the charity action and tending to a very specific wintertime ailment -- chilly toes -- with a unique fundraiser called "Rock for Socks."

[jump] Me & My Arrow, Pictures of Then, Canby, and recent Picked to Click finalists the Goondas are slated to perform at the Turf Club this Saturday, December 11, for the "Rock for Socks" event, and in keeping with the footwear theme the event organizers, Rock the Cause, will knock admission down to $3 for anyone who donates a pair of socks at the door.

We're also told there will be some pretty dancing women on hand (Svec's Painted Ladies) to do some pretty dancing for the crowd. Ooh la la!

Gimme Noise is proud to be a media sponsor for this event. Since it's a fundraiser, we're forgoing the usual ticket giveaway and upping the ante for our readers -- today on Twitter, we're giving away a special holiday prize pack with CDs from all four of the bands on the "Rock for Socks" bill.

As always, follow @gimme_noise on Twitter for your chance to win.
