The Cranberries cancel Brick show, Dolores O'Riordan is ill

The Cranberries' Dolores O'Riordan: The extended interview

Irish rock group the Cranberries pulled out of their show at the Brick Thursday evening in Minneapolis only a few minutes before they were scheduled to perform.

The cancellation comes because lead singer Dolores O'Riordan has reportedly fallen ill. No further word on her condition, or any additional postponed dates have been posted at this time.

According to the Brick's Facebook page, the cancellation was announced not long after opening band Vintage Trouble played their set:

We're very sorry to say that due to unforeseen circumstances Dolores from The Cranberries is unable to perform tonight. We will be offering refunds beginning Monday, May 21 from point of purchase. On behalf of the band and everyone at The Brick, we apologize for this unfortunate situation.

As mentioned, this means that the Brick is offering up refunds for this show starting on Monday.

The Cranberries have not announced a makeup date at this time, but we will update this posting when we have more information.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, last night's The Cranberries show was cancelled. For those who purchased their tickets from or, refunds will be given automatically to the credit card used for the purchase beginning on Monday, May 21 at 10am.

If you bought your tickets from The Electric Fetus or The Brick box office, please mail your tickets to The Brick, 111 N. 5th St. Mpls, MN, 55403 or come to The Brick with your tickets starting Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10am. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

We understand this is frustrating and on behalf of the band and everyone at The Brick, we sincerely apologize for last night's disappointment.
