Pennywise
With A Wilhelm Scream and Teenage Bottlerockets
Orange County punk rock revivalists are unquestionably the most prolific band on Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz's highly successful Epitaph Records. Pennywise have survived the suicide of founding member Jason Thirsk, lackluster record sales, and the general malaise that comes with living in the shadow of fellow California punkers Green Day and the Offspring. Their edgy and politically tinged youth anthems remain in blustery and frontal form on the band's eleventh studio effort, Yesterdays. With the return of lead singer Jim Lindberg after an acrimonious three-year split, an oft-underrated live performance is expected. 6 p.m., $19.99-$25. -- R.P. Sexton
