Southern Songbook's Adam Levy, Chris Koza, Dessa featured on Midmorning

The Southern Songbook series is returning to the Southern Theater April 14 as part of the String Theory Festival, and this time around host Adam Levy is inviting Chris Koza, Dessa, Chan Poling, and more to explore the use of strings in modern-day songwriting.

To preview the next installment of the series, "Rites of String," MPR's Midmorning invited Levy, Koza, Dessa, and Southern Songbook music director deVon Gray into the studio for an interview and performance.

[jump] "Could you guys just come play behind me every hour?" host Kerri Miller gushed after one of the songs.
