Wanna spot the hackiest, most insufferable guy at a concert?

Just listen for the smirky, drunken cry of "FREEEEEEEEEEE BIRRRRRRRRRRRD!" There he is! It's the oldest and lamest joke in the concertgoer playbook. 

Ninety-nine percent of bands react with internalized disdain, then move on to the next song. But not Minnesota's own quirky music god, Bob Dylan. 

Scene: Last Thursday, Greek Theater in Berkeley, California. 

Antagonist: Some yahoo who yelled "FREEEEEEEEEEE BIRRRRRRRRRRRD!"

Our unlikely hero? That'd be Bob Dylan. The 75-year-old troubadour actually met the yahoo's concert cliche with an honest-to-goodness cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 1973 southern rock epic. Here's a taste: 

Dylan just dropped his 37th album, Fallen Angels, in May. He's set to rock the Desert Trip festival — featuring the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, the Who, Neil Young, and Roger Waters — October 9-11 and October 16-18 in Indio, California.
