Sole snags Dosh, Fog for remix LP

Sole snags Dosh, Fog for remix LP

Two of Minneapolis' favorite sons will appear on Sole's remix LP to debut in January, and at least one will perform with him at the Uptown on Oct. 10.

Most rap fans know Sole as the face of left field rap empire Anticon and the raspy beardo who wrote a nasty dis rap about El-P several years back. But he's been on another vibe since 2007 with his band Sole & The Skyrider Band, giving an overdue live feel to his sound.

He hit us up today to let us know about "The Red Carpet Tour" and the Minneapolis date featuring Fog (Andrew Broder), telling he's been on a "nonstop grind" since last October with his four-piece band that produces "epic orchestral rap music."

"We are currently 85% near completion with a follow-up LP to the debut LP, which will be released some time in the late spring," Sole said.

The "Remix LP" will appear on new DIY inprint Black Canyon Recordings and will feature Son Lux, Thavius Beck, Electric President, Fog, Dosh, Odd Nosdam, Telephone Jim Jesus, The Apes, Sleeper, Subtitle, Bit Tuner, Dj Egadz, & Astronautalis.

Oh, and what's up with the militant photos? "As you can see, we are hoping for an Obama candidacy but are ready for a McCain Era."
