Behold 2014's Rock the Garden spread.

Behold 2014's Rock the Garden spread.

It's a beautiful day to roll out the Rock the Garden 2015 lineup. The yearly concert on the lawn of the Walker Art Center will be held Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21.

89.3 the Current is announcing the lineup all day, so we'll update this post as new names are added.

Rock the Garden 2015 Lineup
Saturday, June 20

*Belle & Sebastian - The pride of Scotland pop just dropped Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance. It's a disco record, and the members of MPR and the Walker might want to dance too.

*Conor Oberst - Needs no introduction. The brains behind Bright Eyes and Desaparecidos has established himself as a preeminent creative voice for our time.

*Courtney Barnett - An Australian singer-songwriter with boundless lyrical creativity and an anti-verve delivery that pulls you in. Her full-length, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, is already one of 2015's best.

*Lucius - Brooklyn-based indie folk and pop big on harmonies, coordinated outfits, and taking emotional stands.

itemprop

*The Stand4rd - The local rap supergroup featuring Allan Kingdom, Corbin, Psymun, and Bobby Raps put out one of the best albums locally last year with their self-titled debut.

Sunday, June 21
*Modest Mouse - Isaac Brock's indie rock odyssey continues this year after a long hiatus with Strangers to Ourselves. It's hard not to picture about a dozen sing-alongs spanning this set ("Float On," "Lampshades On Fire," hopefully "Trailer Trash") from the Pacific Northwesterners.

*Babes in Toyland - Woooooo! First local show in 14 years from these heavy rock legends who just reunited recently.

*Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 - The 32-year-old Nigerian multi-instrumentalist is the son of afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. When the senior Kuti died in 1997, Seun took over his father's band, Egypt 80, who mix funk, jazz, and infectious global rhythm.

*JD McPherson - Modern rockabilly pop fusionist from Oklahoma with a juke-joint howl, and a new record with Black Keys producer Mark Neill behind the boards.

*The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger - A psychedelic rock group led by Sean Lennon.
