Prince titles new solo album Art Official Age

After a series of promotional experiments that began almost two years ago, Prince is finally ready to release some new music.

On September 30, the Purple One will put out two albums via Warner Bros. Not only will the date signal the unveiling of his project with 3rdEyeGirl, PlectrumElectrum, but he'll drop a new solo album titled Art Official Age. It is his first solo album in four years.

Take a look at both 3rdEyeGirl.com and ArtOfficialAge.com, and you'll find that the albums are prepped for pre-order. In the latter's case, a preorder will net you new tracks "Clouds" and "Breakdown."

According to a press release, the soul, R&B, and funk on Art Official Age make it a "classic Prince album." It was produced, arranged, composed, and performed by Prince and Joshua Welton. Welton is married to 3rdEyeGirl drummer Hannah Ford Welton.
