Prince teases 'gala event' at Paisley for Piano & A Microphone tour

Late last year, Prince canceled his "The Prince Spotlight: Piano & a Microphone" tour following the Nov. 13 terror attacks in Paris. The 16-date European jaunt was going be exactly like it sounded: A series of intimate, stripped-down evenings featuring Prince plopped in front of a piano.

Recently on Twitter, however, whoever the hell runs Prince's account began dropping teasers concerning an upcoming event. And, as of Tuesday, we have the gist: A "gala event" Jan. 21 at Paisley Park featuring "music" ... presumably courtesy of Prince. Most events at Prince's Chanhassen venue/studio are announced with almost zero warning, so the advanced notice could mean this one's a biggie.

Considering the poster is splashed with "Piano & a Microphone" langage, it's reasonable assume the party will take the same format as promised by the nixed European tour. No ticket details — or, really, any details — are available yet. Here's all we know:
