As soon as gay marriage was legalized in Minnesota, supporters looked ahead towards Pride weekend, knowing that the celebrations and the pageantry were going to be even more enthusiastic and impassioned this year. And event organizers certainly went all out to mark the historic occasion, with the entertainment lineup for the 2013 Pride Festival among the best in recent memory.

On Saturday and Sunday, June 29-30, there will be over sixty different bands, musicians, and performers ready to entertain the joyous masses via five stages spread throughout Loring Park, with Strange Names, Wiping Out Thousands, Wild Cathedral, L'Assassins, the New Standards, Southside Desire, Buffalo Moon, Pennyroyal, Mayda Miller, and the Chalice just a few of the litany of artists who will be performing over the course of Pride Weekend.

In addition to the Rainbow Run, the Pride Picnic, and the renowned Twin Cities Pride Parade, the events planned over the weekend of the Pride Festival will only add to the jubilant, celebratory mood of everyone following the legalization of gay marriage.

More information about the Pride Festival can be found at their website, with many acts to be added and announced as Pride weekend draws closer. But for now, here is the current entertainment lineup and tentative set times for the 2013 Pride Festival. Please be aware that admission to the Pride Festival is free, but tickets are needed for the beer garden, as well as the Pride In Concert performance.
