Powderhorn PorchFest announces 2013 lineup
The proud people of south Minneapolis neighborhood Powderhorn will open up their porches again for a day of outdoor musical revelry. This year's Powderhorn Porchfest expands upon the plucky charm of last year's event with more participating residences, more bands, and a more festive atmosphere.
On Saturday, September 7, 17th Avenue between 33rd and 34th Streets will be closed down to host a massive bill including Bomba de Luz, Ben Rosenbush & the Brighton, Dem Atlas, and many more performing just a few blocks east of Powderhorn Park.
This is no ordinary day of music on porches -- and how many can be called ordinary, anyhow? In addition to the live entertainment, there'll be a ping pong table set up in the closed-down street, a food truck, and a square dance!
Things are a little loose with the times and all, but the music portion of the 2013 Powderhorn PorchFest is expected to run from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with dancing to follow.
The Facebook event page lists a tentative lineup for the day:
Judd and Niky
Carlos Lumbi and Taller del Amatl
