Paul McCartney announces Target Field show
Paul McCartney has announced a new Minneapolis date at Target Field, according to sources. The August show fits within the Beatles founder's Out There U.S. tour, which is hitting arenas and stadiums around the country this summer.
After Target Field has hosted country superstar Kenny Chesney a few times and the Skyline Music Festival on the third base line, this will be the first full-scale rock show at the venue. A McCartney concert almost happened three years ago, but organizers eventually pulled the plug citing "Scheduling challenges for Sir Paul."
McCartney's last Twin Cities date was at the Xcel Energy Center in 2005.
