Get back, get back ... get back-to-back Paul McCartney performances in Minneapolis? Sir Paul, looking to capitalize on the "overwhelming response" to Wednesday's news of a May 4 show at Target Center, just added a May 5 show to his One on One Tour.
You may not be able to buy the living Beatle love, but Amex cardholders — the most rock 'n' roll cardholders around — can try their luck at buying pre-sale tickets 10 a.m. today via AXS.com (tix will not be available at the Target Center box office). The general sale begins 10 a.m. March 21. Tickets run $47 to $252, which as the Strib points out, is the same price range Macca charged for his 2005 gig at St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center.
The One on One Tour hits Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on May 2 before arriving in the Twin Cities, where it promises an experience that "transcends and elevates the potential of live music," according to the press release. McCartney, 73, dazzled City Pages music editor emeritus Reed Fischer with his grit and endurance when he played Target Field in 2014.
