Odd Future confirm Twin Cities date at First Avenue

Well, that didn't take long. Just a day after posting a cryptic kitten-filled map of the United States that indicated that the group would be making its way to Minnesota on their next tour, Odd Future's Tyler the Creator tweeted out a tour poster that lists a date at First Avenue on October 12.

We should have known a new announcement was forthcoming as soon as Tyler nonchalantly proclaimed he was "over" Twitter last night. "Fuck Twitter," he wrote, just 20 hours before using the same platform to leak the tour dates. "I'm Slowly Posting On This here And There....Soon I'm Not Gonna Even Use This."

Looks like it's time for Twin Cities music fans to start opining endlessly about the relevance/seriousness/hype behind this group, which has easily been one of the most heavily discussed and analyzed musical projects of the year. You've got less than three months to figure out your take.

UPDATE: First Avenue released more info for the show. It will be all ages, $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets go on sale next Saturday, August 6 at noon.
