Now, Now leak Threads on Spotify

The introspective beauty of Now, Now's second album is now available in full for streaming delight. The Minneapolis trio, who are signed to Death Cab For Cutie guitarist Chris Walla's label, pack a wallop of emotion and storytelling in Threads. The dual harmonies of Cacie Dalager and Jess Abbott provide a vulnerable and compelling vehicle for these tales of love lost and found.

More of the band's development comes across in Erik Thompson's feature in this week's print edition. And after reading that, head to Paste's Spotify stream to sample the album ahead of Saturday's album release show at the Triple Rock.

We've already expressed some affinity for "Dead Oaks," be sure to spend some time with the bit of playful melodrama that is "School Friends." Also, Tegan & Sara fans will probably gravitate to "Wolf" for its staccato chorus ("I-I-I-I-I-I ca-a-a-a-a-n't sle-e-e-e-e-ep at ni-i-i-i-i-i-ight") and catchy build of swirling synth and electric guitar.
