The Walker has announced the lineup for this summer's Music & Movies series. The film selections play off of the theme of the museum's International Pop exhibition, with the movies focusing on comic book heroes and stories of action and adventure taking center stage. The popular movie screenings take place in Loring Park, preceded by a set of live music from local musicians.

This year's band/movie combos include All Tomorrow's Petty (Batman: The Movie), Chastity Brown Band (Danger: Diabolik), Gary Louris and Friends (Barbarella), and MAKR's Coven, who will provide a live score to the 1926 silent film The Adventures of Prince Achmed.

The films air on Monday evenings from July 27-August 17, with music at 7 p.m. and films starting at dusk, at approximately 8:45 p.m. The Music & Movies events are open to the public and free of charge. In case on inclement weather, the movies will be moved to the Walker Cinema.
