MPLS.TV benefit at the Bedlam tonight

Local creative collective MPLS.TV is throwing a party at the Bedlam tonight, and all proceeds raised at tonight's show will go toward future MPLS.TV projects. Unfamiliar with the collective? You may remember this video we produced for the Best New Bands showcase earlier this month, which was filmed and edited by members of the MPLS.TV staff:

They've also captured some really unique performances by local musicians playing in settings around the city, like this one featuring Jeremy Messersmith playing the Replacements song "Skyway" in an actual skyway:

And of course there's the full episodes of MPLS.TV, which just wrapped up its first season last fall and included a mix of comedy sketches, musical performances, and interviews with local business owners and people of interest. Here's a sample from the "Uptown" episode, which features one of the show's stars and producers, Cloud:

The benefit show features a great lineup of local talent:

Zoo Animal
We Became Actors
Bethany Larson and The Bee Knees
Lucy Michelle (Solo)
Elite Gymnastics
Chelsea Boys

Andy Erickson
Pat Susmilich
Logan Beere
Ham Shack!

Plus door prizes! All attendees will be entered into a drawing for goodies from the following local businesses like Pizza Luce, The Alt Bike Shop, Smitten Kitten, Tatters, Sunrise Cyclery, Cafferey's Deli and Subs, The Uptown Theater, Suburban World Theatre, Sauce Spirits and Sound Bar, Davanni's Pizza & Hot Hogies, Everyday People, and more to be announced.

And MPLS.TV will auction off a three-minute spot of time on their show: "We will be auctioning off up to 3 minutes of time in a season 2 episode of MPLS.TV. The highest bidder will get to do whatever they want with the time in an episode to be determined."

The MPLS.TV Winter Jubilee takes place tonight at 6 p.m. at the Bedlam Theatre, on the West Bank of Minneapolis. $10 per person. Proceeds benefit MPLS.TV.
