It's been a violent, bone-breaking season (as usual) for the Minnesota RollerGirls, but all good things must come to an end. This Saturday will be the final showdown of the season.

The 5th season championship bout, titled "Battle of the Broads," will feature a knock-down, wheels-out time when the Atomic Bombshells take on the Dagger Dolls in a battle for third place, and the Garda Belts fight the Rockits for the big trophy bling; the Golden Skate is a coveted item for any mantle.

Pre-bout happy hours will be in two locations: O'Gara's Bar & Grill (164 Snelling Ave. N., St. Paul) and the Station 4 (201 E. 4th St., St. Paul). Both will have drink specials and free buses shuttling fans to the game. After the winner has been crowned, the party will continue at O'Gara's where you can party with the players as well.

The doors open at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium (175 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul) at 6:30 pm. Opening entertainment will feature the North Stars quad rugby team and half-time entertainment will be by the Minnesota RollerGirls' house band, the Bratwurst Brothers.

Tickets are $10-$14, with kids nine and under free. Proceeds from the game will benefit Avenues for Homeless Youth. For more info, visit www.mnrollergirls.com. Unable to attend? You can watch the game live at www.b2tv.com.
